Inspiration for our New Year's Goals

A little motivation to help you with your goals in 2005... and if you haven't yet set any, maybe this will provide you with the inspiration to set some!

If you like to win, but don't think you can
It's almost certain you won't.

If you think you'll lose, you're lost;
For out in the world you'll find
Success begins with a fellow's will;
It's all in a state of mind.

For many a game is lost,
Ere even a play is run,
And many a coward fails
Ere even his work begun.

Think big and your deeds will grow,
Think small and you'll fall behind;
Think that you CAN and you WILL;
It's all in a state of mind.

If you think you are out-classed, you are;
You've got to think high to rise;
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.

Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But sooner or later, the man who wins
Is the fellow who thinks he can.

There is a great little book that explores this subject in quite a bit of detail, "As a Man Thinketh"... it's small, but it made a MAJOR impact on the way I view life; I HIGHLY reccommend it to all!

The book can best be summed up by a single sentence once spoken by a very wise man... but don't think you fully understand His lesson... His one sentence has a whole lot more to it than we at first realize when we read it... again, go get the book cited above and explore it... you will find out that you probably didn't understand this Man's teaching nearly as well as you thought you did... I know it opened MY eyes:
